The Real Health Crisis? Time.

At Future Health Lab, we use the framework of The Flewn Hour and focus on Temporal Health Literacy to train students to:

  • Identify time traps in healthcare systems before they impact health

  • Advocate for their own time as a critical health resource

  • Develop personal rhythms that protect and improve their health outcomes

The Crisis No One Is Talking About

Youth don’t need more awareness campaigns. They need operating instructions for the system they’re about to inherit.

  • 67% can’t confidently speak with a doctor

  • 82% don’t understand their insurance

  • Most don’t know how to book an appointment

  • Almost all feel overwhelmed by patient portals

This isn’t a learning issue. It’s a design issue.

And it leads to:

  • Avoidable ER visits

  • Preventable mental health breakdowns

  • Widening health equity gaps

What We Do

The Future Health Lab is a public health innovation studio dedicated to making healthcare navigable for the next generation. We embed youth-tested tools and time-reclamation strategies into schools, clinics, and community programs. We don’t just teach kids — we train cultures to expect health-literate patients who understand time as a vital healthcare resource.
